Learn to Shoot 1 Fee $95 (Private Instruction Only)

We offer a Learn to Shoot class that is designed to teach the new shooter the basic fundamentals in firearm safety, handling, and range etiquette. In this class, you will handle different types of handguns both revolvers and semi- automatics. 
                          

Learn to Shoot 2  Fee is $95 (Private Instruction Only)

The Learn to Shoot 2 course builds on our Learn to Shoot 1 course of instruction. The emphasis is on home invasion scenarios, target engagement scenarios, and building upon the fundamentals learned in our first course. Shooters will receive instruction on how to handle a  dangerous situation involving a firearm, how to de-escalate a situation, and what to do in the event that an individual has to use their firearm in a defensive manner to include after the shot. Shooters interested in the course need to be moderately proficient with the fundamentals of marksmanship and are encouraged to take our Learn to Shoot 1 class prior to taking this course.


Texas License to Carry Course  Fee is $100   

The state of Texas requires this course for anyone seeking to obtain a Texas License to Carry. The course is six hours long; students will need to bring a handgun .32 caliber or higher and 50 rounds of commercial ammunition (no reloaded or surplus ammunition) as well as eye and ear protection. The course comes with one free handgun rental.

Advanced Pistol Course  Fee is $95 (Private Instruction Only)

Building on the foundation skills from Learn to Shoot 1, this course will take shooters past the basics and introduce them intermediate and advanced shooting techniques. This course will cover engagement zones on the target, distance appropriate shooting drills, clearing stoppages and malfunctions, reload drills, weapons transitions and manipulation, low-light/no-light engagements, drawing from a holster, using cover and concealment, moving targets, and multiple target engagements.
For this course, shooters should have a holster and a magazine retention device. The focus of this course is to take a shooter who understands the basics of sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, and weapons safety and allow them to implement their firearm system in a more efficient manner in a hostile environment.

Hawkeye Shooting Academy Membership & Classes

Hawkeye Shooting Academy offers annual memberships or day use options. For all patrons (members and day use), lane use may be limited to one hour during peak hours or when a waiting list forms due to the facility being at capacity.

Lane use comes with one free target. Please visit with Hawkeye personnel for the types of targets available and costs. Hawkeye memberships provide unlimited visits, no lane fees and unlimited visits to the range per day. Please remember your valid ID & eye and ear protection!
